The movie is about a common man with as common name as "Surinder" aka "Suri" (Shahrukh Khan) and a girl next door "Tani" (Anushka Sharma). They both get married under unavoidable circumstances. Suri is average working class human and Tani is bubbly, enthusiastic, full of like Modern Indian Girl with fire in her belly.

The incidence kills the spirit of Tani. She told she would never be able to love again and give love to Suri but she would try to be the best wife. But Sury who had been in love with her at first sight, is hell bent to get her love him. He wants Tani to love him as he is. His triumphs in doing so is what this story is about.

Simple stories are often the best stories ever told. And nothing touches the heart more than a story that you and I can relate to, can say 'Yes, that's what my life should be like'. Debutant director Sourabh Shrivastava's Oh My God!! may not be the ideal multiplex fare, yet it does touch a chord that seems lost in the mundane life of the common man.
